I am an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of California, San Diego. My research investigates how we learn and how, as a consequence, we should teach. I am especially interested in transfer— that is, how and when do we apply what we learn?

Areas of focus include spatial skills, educational games, metacognition, and multimedia learning.
